Room chats
Direct messages
A room for every part of the operation
Create rooms for dispatch, a depot, an event, or any working group. Pin information, share files and photos, and set notifications to all, mentions only, or none.
Company conversations stay with the company
Role-aware direct messages control who can contact whom. When someone leaves, access ends while history and shared files remain with the operation.
Mention the person. Link the trip.
Use the at sign to reach a teammate and the number sign to find and attach a reservation. Anyone in the conversation can open the trip directly.
The same conversation on the desk and on the road
Rooms, direct messages, mentions, reactions, files, search, and read receipts work across dispatch and the mobile apps.
Questions about chat.
Who can message whom?
Role-aware direct messages control who can contact whom, so a driver reaches the right dispatcher or manager rather than the whole company.
Does the mobile app include the same Chat features?
Yes. Rooms, direct messages, mentions, reactions, files, search, and read receipts work the same way across dispatch and the Driver App.
How do room notifications and mentions work?
Each room can be set to notify on every message, mentions only, or none, so a direct mention still reaches someone even when the room itself is quiet.
How does a message link to a reservation?
Type the number sign to find and attach a reservation. Anyone in that room or direct message can then open the trip directly from the message.
How is Chat different from Radio and Inbox?
Chat is internal company rooms and role-aware direct messages between teammates. Radio is translated, spoken push-to-talk with drivers, and Inbox is the shared workspace for customer email and SMS. The three stay separate.
What happens to access and history when someone leaves?
Access ends as soon as someone leaves, while the room and direct message history and shared files remain with the operation.
Keep the company conversation inside the company platform.
Move internal group chats into rooms and direct messages with role-based access and links to the trip.
