Familiar, universal communication versus Chat inside the operation.
WhatsApp is excellent for groups, voice messages, photos, documents, location sharing, and communication people already understand. InstaRoute brings the company conversation into dispatch, with role-based access and direct links to drivers, trips, and reservations.

What WhatsApp does well
WhatsApp is familiar, widely available, and effective for communication beyond company boundaries. Groups, voice messages, photos, documents, calls, and location sharing make it easy to reach drivers, customers, affiliates, and other contacts with little training. Many livery operations already run meaningful parts of the business there, and InstaRoute does not need to pretend that outside communication will disappear.
Source: WhatsApp features (checked July 19, 2026)Where the operating model differs
InstaRoute Team Chat is for the internal operational record. Company roles control access, conversations can link to reservations, and drivers can open the work from inside the Driver App. Dispatch does not need to infer which trip a message concerns or leave the platform to recover its context later. Many operators may use both: WhatsApp for broad outside reach and InstaRoute for accountable work tied to drivers, trips, and dispatch.
What to verify in your demo
- Send a reservation-specific message and test whether dispatch can reopen the exact trip, assignment, timing, and related conversation months later.
- Decide which customer and partner conversations should remain universal in WhatsApp and which internal decisions belong in the operating record.
